When you hand over a device for diagnosis or repair, our technicians may need to power it on, run diagnostic software, or briefly access the operating system to confirm the fault and test the fix. • For doorstep visits, repairs are carried out under your supervision wherever practical.
• We recommend you back up your data and remove or temporarily disable account locks (e.g. BIOS/firmware passwords, Find My Device/Find My Mac, screen locks) before handover, as some repairs (motherboard, chip-level, water-damage recovery) may require a factory reset or can result in data loss that is outside our control.
